Good evening, and thank you all for tuning in to Radio Free Hampians. On the East coast, it's 2300 hours on July 2, 2026. On the West coast, it is 2400 hours, and in Mississippi, they still wish it was 1862. Our next program is the International Race of Hampians. Good morning and welcome to the International Race of Hampians. Coming to you live from where you get your podcast. Tonight's episode, Episode eight, because Race car. So take it away, Justin and Gino.
Justin
Well, I. I think tonight we actually have some pretty fun things to get into. We got our Theoretical Spec series, and we also have Car Car Cards Against Humanity. So Cars Against Humanity, which. I saw this. I saw another podcast do this, and I figured we should try it as well, because it sounds fun, maybe. Maybe do it in our own little way. It's pretty similar to how they did it. Honestly, I completely forget the name of the podcast. I want to credit them. So we'll have to figure that out and put it in the description later because.
Caleb
Yeah, we'll put it in the show notes.
Justin
Yeah, we'll put it in the show notes.
Geno
Or we could just have an awkward voiceover edited in right after that.
Justin
Either way, it's some. I did get the idea from another podcast, but. It's a fantastic idea. But, yeah, so that's what we have in store for today or this evening or whenever you're listening to this podcast. We are. We are recording this pretty late, actually, for what we usually do. So this is officially Hampians After Dark.
Caleb
Yep. And before we get, you know, before we get into the levity too much, I'm gonna dedicate this episode and this beer to my dad, because this is dropping on what would have been his 68th birthday. So.
Justin
And it is being recorded on Father's Day. Cheers.
Geno
Cheers. Cheers to all the dads out there and all those who were ever worried that they might be dads.
Caleb
Amen.
Justin
I think we're getting the hang of this podcast thing.
Caleb
You know, we might actually be getting good at it at this point.
Justin
We're settling in.
Geno
I've spent time listening to worse podcasts than ours.
Caleb
Oh, all right. Let's kick off the Cars Against Humanity, so.
Justin
Sure.
Caleb
All right, who's dealer?
Justin
I'll go first as dealer. All right, so the thing is, is basically the way it works is for the audience is I'm the dealer. I'll make up some scenario that they have hands of cars that before the show, we found some random cars on Facebook Marketplace. We randomized them, dealt them out. And I'm going to make up a scenario. And they have to choose from the randomized cars that they have which one would be best for the scenario. Now the way we're going to play it out is we only got. We only selected seven cars each. Our hands are seven each. We're not going to be able to refill our hands or whatever. So we're just going to go until we're out of cars. So I'm gonna. So I'm gonna start with the scenario. Scenario is it's 1986. You are. Let's see, you are a. What's. Oh, gosh, what's the word for an undersecretary? Not an undersecretary. The. The helper. The congressional helpers. They help Congress people. Aid. Yeah, Congressional aid. Your account. You're a congressional aide. It's not, it's 1986. You are a congressional aid. You get paid healthily, but you're not rich. You're in the market for a new car. You obviously, you know, want to keep up appearances and whatnot. And let's say you're a Republican, if that matters to the selection of vehicle. What car do you choose? Oh, oh, wait, wait. You're single, you're young, you have no real other responsibilities.
Geno
I'll bite.
Justin
Wait, do you have if. Does this qualify? Do you have Enough cars pre 1986?
Geno
Yes.
Justin
Okay. Okay.
Caleb
Absolutely. Yeah.
Geno
Like in this group. Yeah, I don't think that's a worry.
Justin
All right, all right.
Geno
You know what I think, you know, you said I'm a Republican, so I can't do any of them. Any of them foreign cars?
Justin
No, not, not. No. No furring car.
Geno
So I think I have to go with the 66 Ford Galaxy 500 drop top.
Justin
That's a beautiful, beautiful vehicle.
Caleb
That's a beauty. But I think I'm going to one
Geno
up you here and I'm sure it's got an eight track and I can put my Phyllis Schlafly eight track in there and listen to that bitch spew nonsense for hours.
Caleb
I'll raise a beard of that.
Geno
She has a public restroom somewhere, doesn't she?
Caleb
Yeah, hers is up in Missouri.
Geno
It's down in Missouri.
Caleb
Well, for you around in Missouri, I think I'm going with. In my hand, I've got an 84 square body, 2500 crew cab. You know, it's got room for me and it's got room for five other congressional aides and a bed for activities.
Geno
Here's the thing, though. I Think that's before like the right. Completely co opted the working man pickup mentality. Yeah.
Justin
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with the galaxy on this one. The reason why. So. So Geno's got one. One point reason why my mentality on it is sort of the. What Gino said, the sort of mat. The performative masculinity vibe in 1986 would 100% skew towards Galaxy 500 rather than pickup truck.
Caleb
Yeah. To be fair, that was also my only 1986 or earlier American vehicle.
Justin
That is fair. But at the same time it didn't have to be American.
Caleb
Yeah, but that was by the. By that point they were deep into the buy American. So.
Justin
Yeah, fair, fair. All right.
Geno
All right. So I go next. I got a scenario for you.
Justin
Yeah, go next.
Geno
All right. You live in Minnesota's northwest angle. Yeah, you live in Minnesota's northwest angle. That's the little nub that sticks out into Canada because of a surveying error that makes us officially the northernmost contiguous state. It's January, so Lake of the woods is frozen and you have a felony charge. So. So you can't drive through Canada. You gotta take the ice road across Lake of the woods because you're out of hands. What vehicle are you taking to get your 30 rack?
Justin
Oh my God. I know, I know.
Caleb
I've got the perfect pick.
Justin
My pick would be the frickin Lotta Leica.
Caleb
I'm gonna have to go panther on this one, 2011 Crown Vic and. And you know, full baller because it's for lx.
Justin
That's the reason I'm going with a
Caleb
Crown Vic is you can get a lot more than one 30 rack of a trunk. Let me tell you the.
Geno
Yeah, I gotta go with the.
Justin
I was gonna say the reason I'm going. The reason I'm going with the Lotta is because I don't have to say anything.
Geno
Siberia.
Justin
Exactly. Like just put two and two together. Hold on. It fits
Caleb
me at comrades.
Geno
Man, this is tough. I mean, I feel almost compelled to go Crown Vic because that is a much more likely vehicle to exist up there.
Justin
Which one's better for drunk driving?
Geno
Cops drove Crown Vic. So both
Justin
air.
Geno
Oh, man, this is tough. Jeez.
Justin
They're both. They're both kind of the same car.
Geno
Because I said fans, not vodka.
Justin
All right, all right. Crown Vic. I was gonna say they're both kind of the same car in spirit.
Geno
Yeah. It's a very difficult choice. And yeah, I would happily drive each of the. Either of them across the ice road. To replenish my beer supply.
Justin
All right, so Caleb gets a point. I'm across off the lotta from my list, and it's Caleb's turn to deal.
Caleb
All right, so it is sometime in the year 1980. You are 106 miles from Chicago.
Justin
Okay. All right. All right.
Caleb
You've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes. It's dark, and you're wearing sunglasses. What are you driving?
Justin
62 Continental Vixen Motorhome. Oh, my God. Blues brothers in a vixen motorhome.
Geno
Oh, you can fit the whole band in it.
Justin
You take out a lot of Illinois nazis.
Geno
Yeah, I hate Illinois Nazis.
Caleb
I think we all hate Illinois nazis. So the continental. I'm not sure if a full tank of gas would get you the 106 miles to Chicago. We certainly can try, but I think I'm gonna give a point to the vixen on this one.
Justin
Oh, my God.
Caleb
At least you got my whole band in there with you.
Justin
Oh. All right.
Geno
I. I think we just. Rather than having the winner go, I think we just need to go in a circle because otherwise somebody's gonna wind up with more cars.
Justin
No, no, no, no. Yeah, we're going in a circle. So I'll go next again. All right, you are. You're a beverage distributor. Your truck broke down. You gotta get as many packs of energy drinks that you physically can to the gas station out in rural Appalachia. Appalachia. Appalachia, whatever. I'm from here and I still pronounce it either. All the ways anyway. So you. You're going to have to hit up some mountain roads, and you got to get as many as possible out there as quick as possible as. As safely as possible. What are you taking?
Caleb
There is only one answer in my list, and that is the 1964 DKW. VMAG. VMAGWE. Because. Station wagon.
Justin
All right. What a vehicle. What an absolute. What an absolute unit of a vehicle. That'll do the trick. I mean, it'll take a little while, but it'll do the trick.
Caleb
Yeah, it's a three cylinder, two smoke.
Geno
You know, my. My first instinct was the mullen one, But I don't think it's going to get there on the battery. So I'm going to go with the opala.
Justin
All right. Well, it's not necessarily that long of a trip. It's just. It's just mountainous, so it's like going to be twisties. But if that changes your.
Geno
Your answer now, I'll stick with the opala.
Justin
All right.
Geno
Because wagon.
Justin
Because wagon. Yeah, Wagon gang. Holla. Versus the dang. I'm going Opala. I'm going Opala big time. The folks. The folks out here in the hollers, they wouldn't even notice that it's an Opala, not a Chevelle or something. They'd be like, hell, yeah. I mean, look. And I can say that.
Caleb
Yeah, brother.
Justin
I can make fun of my own people. All right, Gino.
Geno
All right. It's 1975. You're a young, hip Californian, and you're going to go cruise Pacific coast highway with your old lady.
Justin
I guess I technically only have one choice in my list left. That's pre 1975. So it's going to have to be the 1948 Pillar Special. I guess you're old school. You're greasing it.
Geno
I'm not mad about it.
Caleb
And I also. I'm not mad. Have one option. I have one option that is pre 1986, and that would be a 1960 rambler. Oh,
Geno
you know, I love the Rambler. That's why I, you know, picked that out of a marketplace and put it in this challenge. But the Plymouth is a better cruiser.
Justin
All right, I get a point.
Geno
I just do.
Justin
I get a point?
Geno
You get a point.
Caleb
You get a point.
Geno
Sorry, but if I'm going to be cruising the Pacific Coast Highway. But it ain't a cruiser.
Justin
Like, come on. Yeah, Special deluxe. That'll get it done. All right, what's our points totals? I got one. Do you know? I think you got three.
Geno
I think I have two.
Justin
I think you got three.
Caleb
Yeah, I think you got three. Gina.
Justin
I think Caleb's got two.
Caleb
Yeah, I'm at two.
Geno
All right, then I guess I got three.
Justin
All right.
Geno
I can't count.
Justin
Caleb, give us something. Give us something good.
Caleb
All right, so imagine if you will, you're in. You're in Sao Paulo, and you need to get a load of Cervasia Antarctica from Sao Paulo to Rio Janeiro without alerting the local constabulary that you're running untaxed. Untaxed Beer. What are you taking?
Justin
Looks like. Looks like I'm cruising down the highway in an F250 Tropical. That baby can fit so much beer in it, they won't know this one.
Geno
The. The Mullen is too conspicuous. It's obvious that I'm hauling something. So my only option is the 77 Volkswagen Brasilia.
Caleb
That is a tough one. That's a tough one, y'. All. But Brasilia is just an awesome vehicle. You can get an awful lot of beer into the F250 Tropical.
Justin
And because it's not the truck version, it's like a fake car thing. It wouldn't necessarily be assumed. It's hauling.
Caleb
I think I'm gonna go with the F250 Tropical on this one. Another.
Justin
Don't call it a comeback. All right.
Geno
They don't ask how. They ask how many.
Justin
Exactly. All right, let's come up with something. Let me think, let me think. What do we got? You are a Saudi Arabian cartoon character. You gotta get from the oil wells to the city. That means you gotta drive across some sand dunes and such. Being a cartoon character, you want to do it in the silliest way possible. What are you driving?
Caleb
I've got two good picks for this one.
Geno
I've really only got one.
Caleb
I think I'm going with. I think I'm going to go with the Fast and the Furious wannabe Eclipse.
Justin
That car is just beautiful.
Geno
This. This might be too serious an answer, but I'm taking the troller T4.
Justin
Okay. All right, so we gotta. Okay, this is tough because I did say cartoon character, but still, an SUV would make way more sense than the damn Eclipse, which would probably get stuck. But at the same time, that explains the missing front bumper.
Geno
I mean.
Justin
Oh, my God.
Geno
For what it's worth, I feel like the T4 kind of looks like a cartoon wrangler.
Justin
Yeah, it kind of. I kind of does.
Caleb
Yeah.
Justin
As much as I don't.
Caleb
Ah.
Justin
I can't pick against the meme Eclipse. I'm going to have to. The Troller T4 trolls its way into victory.
Geno
All right, here we go. It is. The year is 20. Let's say the year is 2005, and you and your bros are looking to hard park by the boardwalk on the Jersey shore and impress some babes.
Justin
All right, all right.
Caleb
How serious do I have to be with this answer?
Geno
This is the podcast that it is.
Justin
All right. I. Considering. Considering this is a. Yeah, we're.
Caleb
We're.
Justin
We're not being super realistic with the answers. I'm gonna go actually. No, no, no, no, no. If it is 05, I'm gonna take the cultural context into it. You're hard parking that 1997 Dodge Viper.
Caleb
I am hard parking the Gerzel BR800.
Justin
Hell yeah. What's up, ladies?
Caleb
Two cylinders of Fury.
Justin
The smaller the car, the bigger the that.
Geno
You know what? Oh, that's tough because, like, the Viper is the perfect answer for hard parking on the shore, but the BR800 is such a Goofy looking little thing. I. The idea of somebody like, you know, of, you know, some shore bro trying to look hard as hell next to one is. See me laugh really hard.
Justin
That. That shit looks like. That shit is parked so hard, it looks like it's been sitting there 20 years. That's how hard it's parked.
Geno
Some guy next to it. Like his arm is bigger than the car.
Justin
See, like that's the kind of. No, no, no, that's the kind of. That's the kind of car that the only way to show off is when you're hitting on a single MILF and her kids are playing on it like it's a. Like it's a jungle gym.
Geno
I see. I gotta imagine he's like laying under it and, and pumping it.
Caleb
See, this is what I was. See, you're getting along the lines of what I was thinking. You know, you drive there, you get out, you got your full. You got your set of weights with you. Just, you know, slide under it, you know, and just do a few reps with the car.
Geno
Yeah, I think for that image alone, I got to give it to the BR800.
Justin
Wait, wait, wait, wait. I have one, one last thing to say to defend the Viper. You don't have to make up any story as on why it's good to hard park the Viper in your scenario. It just is.
Geno
Yeah, but this is an audio medium. It's all about stories. Don't get me wrong, I love the first gen Dodge Viper. Like, I got a model kit for a first gen Dodge Viper when I was like 12 or younger probably. When did that come out? Did that drop? 95?
Justin
I think so.
Caleb
94.
Justin
94, yeah.
Geno
So, yeah, when I was like, I would have been eight or nine years old and I got a model kit of it and I thought it was the coolest fucking thing I had ever seen in my life. And I was right. The Viper is a gorgeous piece of automotive ridiculousness from the former mad lads at Chrysler. But the idea of the situation from Jersey Shore laying down on the pavement and doing a few reps of that BR800 is sending me. So the point's gonna go to Caleb.
Justin
All right, all right.
Geno
It was hard, though.
Justin
I only got two cars left, I think.
Geno
Yeah, same.
Caleb
And I'm down to my last one, so.
Geno
Or maybe no. Yeah, I've got two left.
Justin
All right, what do you got for us, Caleb?
Caleb
All right, it's sometime in the mid-2000s in Tennessee and you are a high school, you're a senior in high school trying to Decide. What the hell am I driving to prom? What are you taking?
Justin
Well, by God, it's a 1984 Porsche 944.
Geno
All right. Yeah, I've only got one car that'll work for this one, so it's the 01 GTI VR6 hatchback Golf.
Justin
Hell, yeah.
Caleb
Okay, I gotta give it to that GTI I've got. Yeah.
Justin
No, I can't blame you. I can't blame you. That one's. That one's. That one's a. That would have a panty dropper sticker on it.
Geno
I mean, was it. Didn't somebody in. Was it Sixteen Candles where he drove a 944, though?
Caleb
I think it was. Yeah.
Justin
I don't know.
Geno
It was one of the. The Brat Tack movies. So again, not a movie podcast.
Justin
No, I don't. I don't. I don't know that one. So I'm. I'm out of the loop.
Geno
I think Freddie Prinze Jr. Had a 944 in one of those movies.
Justin
All right, let me come up with one. You are. You're going on a cross country road trip, but you're going on a cross country road trip across Brazil. What are you taking?
Geno
I should have saved the Brasilia because all I've got left is the Mullen one.
Justin
Good luck.
Geno
It's gonna be a long trip.
Justin
Good luck.
Caleb
I have one and only one card left, and that would be the 86 Volkswagen Scirocco in brown.
Justin
Not the worst car to take.
Geno
No, I feel like I have the worst car to take.
Justin
All right. And I have one car left. So I guess. I guess that'd be a fantastic car for a cross country road trip in Brazil, except for maybe if you had to go off road. That's the 94 Nissan Gloria Gran Turismo Altima. But, yeah, I guess I. I guess that's just how it's gonna have to play out with the numbers and everything is. Don't have another round to finish my list out, but that's fine. That was fun. Who ended up winning? I think I got. I think I got.
Caleb
That was fun, y'.
Geno
All.
Caleb
Yeah, I think. I think Gina won.
Justin
I think Gino won.
Caleb
I think Gino is also taking a ganset break.
Justin
We can't even. Oh, there we go.
Geno
I take five. I'll be right back.
Justin
Okay. I think you won, though, because I'm a winner. All right. Yeah. Winners take five.
Caleb
All right, y'.
Geno
All.
Caleb
So back to a podcast. All right. And we are back. So before we go into the riveting spec racing discussion, we have our first live dispatch from our Knoxville correspondent and co host, Justin. So let's have at it.
Justin
This is Justin for the international race of Pantheons. I am live on the scene at the South Knoxville Pride for them. It has been wonderful so far. So excited to be here. Happy Pride. But I've not seen any interesting cars, unfortunately. But I have certainly seen some interesting people.
Caleb
Happy Pride, everybody. All right, Hampians. Happy Pride.
Geno
Happy Pride.
Justin
I lied. I totally forgot that while I was there, I did in fact see an interesting vehicle. It. What is it, a like 94 or something? Probably Subaru Vivio Bistro T top.
Caleb
Ooh, the T tops. Very, very T tops.
Geno
Very for T tops.
Justin
Very strange vehicle. Little K car with that retro styling. Very cool. It was just there as. Just like a. As an ornament because it was weird. So. So no Pride shout out. That was fun.
Caleb
Absolutely. And I am actually saving some of the photos to go into our social posts for this episode. So.
Justin
Good, Good.
Caleb
Excellent.
Geno
So, yeah, spec racing series. The assignment was, as our listeners may recall. Or did we talk about this after we went off air?
Caleb
No, we talked about it on air, so.
Geno
Okay, well, then forget what I just said. The assignment was, as our listeners may recall, to figure out a spec racing series using a car currently available for sale as a new vehicle in the US and have it just be the dumbest spec racing series you can think of. I'm sure mine is very, very dumb. While also I've convinced myself unironically. Good. And I'm sure you two have also convinced yourselves the same with your picks.
Justin
Absolutely.
Geno
Who wants to start it off? Shel?
Caleb
Well, I actually have some listener inputs before we go into our picks. All right, so our listener, Alan, in the great state of Tennessee, suggested the GMC Acadia because he absolutely despises it. And the idea of putting 43 of them at the Bristol Motor Speedway and running them in a spec race at Bristol where none of them survive at the end is his idea of a perfect spec race.
Justin
That's. That's a beautiful thought.
Geno
One less Academy. Well, more than one less Acadia on the road.
Caleb
And then another listener of ours, Charles, also from the great state of Tennessee. So shout out to Charles. He suggested the Nissan Kicks, because absolute terrible vehicle. Ew.
Justin
Yeah, get. Get him out of here.
Caleb
Then moving west. Kevin in Kansas suggested The Jeep Wrangler 4XE. Specifically the 4XE.
Justin
All right. Electric mode. Racing until you run out of juice.
Caleb
Until you run out of juice or it catches on fire. Whichever happens first.
Justin
Yeah, both.
Geno
Both exciting.
Justin
Exciting.
Caleb
And finally, friend of a show, long time friend of a show, Eric, in the great state of California suggested anything from Mitsubishi's current lineup.
Justin
Oh, my God.
Caleb
Can y' all imagine Eclipse cross spec racing?
Justin
Ew.
Geno
Don't love it.
Caleb
It is.
Justin
I wouldn't even want to watch it. It's like, it's almost. It's like kicks.
Geno
It's.
Justin
It's like an easy. It's the same. It's gross.
Caleb
All right, and now that we've gotten through our listener suggestions, what do the hosts of the Hampians have in for us?
Justin
Wait, wait, wait, wait. I just got one thing to say. If there was going to be a crossover racing series, I would rather it not be a spec series than be an actual. Like what crossover is the best? If that was the case, I'd watch that. That'd be fun. But spec series sounds kind of stinky.
Geno
I mean, it's a crossover series. They're all losers.
Justin
Yeah.
Geno
All right, I'm gonna start it off because I feel like I got almost a little bit scooped by our mailbag because my idea is spec Wrangler, but spec Wrangler two door with the. Oh, what's the V6?
Justin
The Pentastar.
Geno
The Pentastar V6 because it comes with a six speed manual.
Justin
All right. Two door Wrangler.
Geno
Yep.
Justin
Wrangler, two door, two wheel drive.
Geno
Yep. And you know, just to make it decent, you also spec that. They run the, the skyjacker lowering kit.
Justin
So.
Geno
Yeah.
Caleb
All right. All right.
Geno
A spec JL wrangler.
Justin
All right. Okay. What tracks they running at?
Geno
Oh, Laguna Seca, Guna Seca. You know, as a.
Caleb
Maybe not.
Justin
Maybe not what? Maybe not. Maybe not what tracks, but what type of series?
Caleb
I'm thinking road racing.
Justin
Yeah, road racing. Endurance or sprints?
Caleb
That's a good question, Eileen. Endurance.
Geno
Yeah, I think so. I think the, the Wrangler 500 would be just incredibly stupid.
Caleb
24 hours of Wrangler.
Justin
I think sprint. I think sprint style racing would involve more rollovers.
Geno
Yeah, well, we are lowering them for safety's sake, among other things.
Justin
It's still roll. Yeah, no, that's funny. That's great. I love it.
Geno
But like I said, I think unironically good to watch.
Justin
Like 10 out of 10.
Geno
You know, it's a rear wheel drive, two door vehicle with a six speed manual. That's racing material.
Justin
Hell yeah.
Caleb
Hell yeah.
Justin
Give it, give it stacks, exhaust stacks through the hood.
Geno
I don't, I don't think you need to do it, like I said, I think just the, just the lowering kit, maybe a slightly larger wheel for a lower pro tire and run it all day.
Justin
Yeah, but why not have an exhaust stack through the hood? Exactly.
Geno
You got me there.
Justin
All right, Caleb, what do you got?
Caleb
Oh, so the. This is a tough one, but I feel like a large part of what makes a spec racing series good and competitive is keeping the costs low of your racing vehicle. If you make the car cheaper, it becomes more accessible to more people so you can get more racers. And for this reason, I am going with the cheapest new vehicle available on the US Market too, today. The Hyundai venue.
Justin
All right. Spec venue. That would be funny. Those are cute looking little cars.
Geno
I'd watch that.
Justin
I'd watch that, seeing those all go around. Wait, we talking. Okay, so we're talking sprint races on short, short little road courses.
Caleb
I'm thinking, I'm thinking. So you know, sprint races, short road courses like Manifest Motorsports Park. I don't know, like we might get a track as big as, you know, like Hallett or Harvard park out into.
Justin
We're talking like Sakuba.
Caleb
Yeah, exactly.
Justin
Yeah.
Caleb
You know, we're looking, you know, about minute, minute and a quarter lap, manual swap them. I don't know. I'd leave the CVT and you know, just see how long it takes before they cook.
Justin
Mean it. All right, well that's, that's pretty good idea. I think I have, I think I have a hell of a, hell of an idea that's going to blow both of those out of the water, though.
Caleb
Let's hear it.
Justin
Spec Vinfast. I mean, spec VinFast VF8. And you have to endurance long tracks. And what you're really fighting, endurance wise, is the car's electrical bugs.
Caleb
I mean, if you're going for that, you may as well go spec Fisk or.
Justin
Yeah, spec Ocean spec misfit EVs. But no, but if we have to do one car, I'm going spec VinFast VF8 because it's still for sale. The Fisker isn't. So it counts. And it would be very silly. It would. They would be. They would just be randomly spinning off the track like, like drivers would be as consistent as possible. One lap to the next. They'd put the exact same input in and the next lap, for some reason, the traction control system would lock up the inside rear tire and you'd just spin. Don't ask why, it just would happen. And that's the beauty of spec Vinfast.
Geno
I think we got three really good candidates to send off to scca.
Justin
Absolutely. And. And if Spec Minfast actually was a fun little thing, that would be good PR for a company that really frickin needs some
Caleb
sort of. I think I'm gonna do honorable mention. An honorable mention here because I forgot this thing even existed until our cars against humanity game. But spec Mullen Class 1 van.
Justin
Yeah, let's go. That. I forgot it existed, too, until. Right. The fricking Facebook listing.
Caleb
Spec Mullen, y'. All.
Justin
Also, did you know Vinfast makes other cars other than the VF8? They also have a VF7. They're going to come out with apparently. And they have a VF9 that apparently exists. And apparently they sold some of them. They like. It's. It's a bigger suv. That looks better. It's boxy or. It looks. It looks a lot better. I just. I want to see more of those. I'm curious.
Geno
I love automakers with nonsensical model numbers. Like your. Your three cars that you. The only three cars you've ever had are 7, 8, and 9. It's like big, big John DeLorean dropping the DMC12 energy.
Caleb
Oh, you gotta love John Z, though.
Geno
You really do.
Justin
Yeah, but with him, he probably. I mean, like, at least the number probably meant his. Like he was trying to boast about his dick size or something.
Geno
How many?
Justin
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. He's like, there's no. There's a reason behind the number. Don't worry.
Geno
It's got 12 bricks in the bumper.
Justin
Yeah, yeah. Why is it called DMC12? Well, depends who's asking.
Geno
Yeah. Friend of the pot. John Z. DeLorean.
Justin
Friend of the pod. When are we getting him on?
Geno
As soon as we find a medium who claims they can speak to him.
Justin
All right, I'll get right on that. I'll. I'll try and find some.
Geno
Willing to pitch in a few bucks for that. That'd be funny.
Caleb
See, if we're gonna have John. If we're gonna have John Z. On, we need John McAfee to go with him.
Geno
I figured, like, we need one normal person to balance them out, too. I'm gonna suggest Lee Iacocca, but they.
Justin
His name's not John.
Geno
Sorry,
Justin
who. Who's a normal John? All right, well, I. I think that's a. I think it's a good time to call it a podcast. I think that was pretty good.
Caleb
I think this pod has been cast, y'.
Justin
All. I would say so.
Geno
I think so.
Justin
That was fun.
Caleb
All right, any last words for our listeners?
Justin
Any last words.
Geno
Don't buy a wrangler. Oh, actually, I do have one thing to add to the spec thing. How many ducks are included in the spec class?
Justin
Oh, no. The ducks are your ballast.
Geno
Do we have limits on size, number and placement of ducks?
Caleb
Yeah.
Justin
No, no. It's your ballast. So if you. If you win a race to ballast your. Your performance, you have to put in, you get more ducks.
Geno
No.
Justin
Okay. If you. If anyone. If anyone who's listening has ever driven a vinfast, please write and tell us. I want to know. Yeah.
Geno
Otherwise, again, check your oil. Especially if you drive a Stellantis project.
Justin
Especially even if you drive a vin fast. I'm sure it's low on oil somehow. Yeah, especially if you drive in fin fast. It's probably low on oil.
Caleb
All right, y'. All, see you next week.
Geno
Night, folks.
Justin
Bye.
Caleb
Happy 4th.
